I looked at a TEDtalk about an graffiti artist who was paralyzed. Certain individuals discovered he was paralyzed and started to look into the idea of him still being able to create art. They created something called the eyewriter, where one can use there eyes to “draw”. When drawing there is a projector set up to project the image onto (in this case) a wall outside of the hospital. It was named one of the top ten inventions of 2010. And the amazing part is the code for the eyewriter is all free and available to the public

I thought it was incredibly interesting to give an artist this capability. It is a great possibility for one of the designers I know to suffer an impairment that could prevent them from doing design work. And this invention could really help with aiding these individuals. It is quite miraculous to know that someone wanted to do this out of the goodness of their heart, creating this invention for this artist because they wanted to. It goes to show how people really can do miraculous things for others. One of the inspirational parts of the talk was at the end where the inventor told about a gathering that was happening of artists to display and demonstrate their work. The paralyzed graffiti artist is one of the few that will be in the convention. Not even been paralyzed can stop an artst.
